Celebrating Water to Wickets

When: Saturday, 18th February, 2012

Where: CVCC Rochester

Time: Doors open 7 pm.

Cost: $30 or $300 table of 10. Tickets are available at Sportspower, Rochester

What: Launch of Community DVD by Flood Relief Officer. Brad McEwan to MC the event. All players will be in attendance. A silent auction and local band, plus more. Meals provided and open bar available.

Water to Wickets Twenty 20 Cricket match

When: Sunday, 19th February, 2012

Where: Recreation Reserve, Rochester

Time: Gates open 10am. Main match 1 pm.

Cost: $10 over 16's. $20 family. Free to Rochester, Nanneella and Strathallan residents.

Tickets are available for purchase at Sportspower Rochester, Kerang, Echuca, Swan Hill and Bendigo.

What: Twenty 20 cricket match that will see locals such as Dylan Cutriss, Corey Windridge, Brad Major, Adrian Pappin, Adam Ward, Jake Wright and more lline up to play against some of the best that have played for Australia.

Terry Alderman, Jimmy Maher, Matthew Elliott, Mick Lewis, Rodney Hogg, Greg Matthews, Wayne Holdsworth, Jo Angle, Ryan Campbell, Murray Goodwin and John Davison will line up for the Masters team.

Also: Family entertainment, food and drink stalls and even XXXX Gold Bay 13.

3BO will broadcast the game live. Channel 10 will be in attendance with Brad McEwan hosting the day

The Rochester Agricultural & Pastoral Association is running the Rochester Annual Show on Friday night and Saturday.

There will be many side shows and carnival rides for the young at heart as well as Miss Teenage Showgirl, Children's hour, displays and demonstrations on Friday.

On Saturday there will be a full program of equestrian events, dog shows, cattle judging and of course the Miss Junior Show Girl, Miss and Master Tiny Tot quest and a baby show, and still lots of side shows and carnival rides.

The Home craft pavilion exhibits will feature cookery, needlework, patchwork, knitting, spinning and weaving, novelty & craft, scrapbooking and parchment craft.

In the children's craft there will be lego construction, best decorated hat, and scarecrow competition.

Don't forget the horticulture with cut flowers, pot plants, floral art, fruit and vegetables and farm produce.

Then of course there is the Art section for all ages with china painting, hand writing competition and photography.
